Plug-n- Play
- Works great out of the box with MakeMKV! - Seems to be good build quality
- Plug and play - Easily watch blue ray videos - Easily create CDs (My parents still use them) haha
Makmkv said that the one I received was "LibreDrive enabled." It does have the actual "Ultra HD Blu-ray" logo on it. It hasn't had any problems with 4k or Blu-ray disks (I haven't tested DVDs). It gets 5.5x on average for Blu-rays.
Decent price. USB 3.0
- Works as advertised.
easy to set up and use
Works right out of the box via USB. Read and write at a reasonable fast speed. Design is slim and crisp/shiny black.
I was very happy to see that the product description, was very accurate. I needed a player that could play various types of files, especially DVD-RAM discs. This little drive is capable of a lot of different video types. This is another item that I purchased from Newegg. That is of good quality, at a great price, and delivered in record time for the least costly shipping rate. :-)
Genuine Apple Superdrive in perfect condition, works perfectly with my MacBook - Great price!
- works out of the box with MakeMKV for 4k UHD blu rays (manufacture date on box: Dec2022, firmware: 1.01) - USB-C powered and rips discs quickly and flawlessly (only used single C to C cable ~10cm long) - not obtrusively loud (YMMV, depending on your sensitivity to drive noise) - I like the clamshell style of access, no finicky slot motor mechanism that may "refuse" to eject disc - the matte, rubbery finish promises to safeguard against scratches; however, only time will verify or refute this claim, for now it seems like a nice finish
