Nice and sturdy. I have no problems with the latch once I figured it out. Not too hard to do. I'd rather have it tight than loose. Normal height 3.5 inch hard drives have a nice, snug fit. (Without an anti-static bag) Four 2.5 inch drives fit sideways, but not a snug fit, which is OK. (Not the use case) The "protrusion" on one side of the case will fit into the "depression" on the other side of the case. When stacked, the cases will "lock" together.

Added WORD OF CAUTION in 2018 - These brackets still work great but it appears that some of the drive manufacturers no longer isolate (or recess) wiring board connections in the drive chassis - so these brackets may now contact the surface of the boards. This can cause short circuits and trash your new drive. I suggest you also get some small plastic or nylon washers (#6 size works great) to put between the hard drive and this bracket. The screws that come with the bracket are long enough to go through the extra thickness and still fasten the drive in place. Designed close enough to fit any laptop drive I've mounted in it. Sure, some drives are so thin that you have to shim under the screws to keep the drive from moving around, but that's not the fault of the adapter. The holes in the drive are just too shallow. This is a great answer for those of us who are tired of overheating desktop drives. Allows the use of a laptop drive in your desktop. They run cooler and their small size allows much more airflow around them.
