These are great for storing extra HDDs or bare backup drives (which is what I use them for) either off-site or in a safe - drive is protected, doesn't require a lot of shelf space, and there is a label / different colors so you can see what you have at a glance.

These stand upright on 3 sides - the spine has a rib that prevents it, but this allows shelf-stacking vertically or horizontally. Internal padding is minimal but seems adequate until I'm drop-kicking these routinely. The unsnap-hinge is a wide, sturdy lift-up, not tiny fingernail-breaking bits. There is much to like about these, and we'll buy more.

im using this with a highpoint RocketRAID 3740A with it all loaded with drives it feels heavy and makes your desktop have that beefy server feeling

I like the Flexidock, it works great for me. i use the 3.5 part of it. I'm sure the 2.5 works just as good. I bought 2 of them for 2 of the computers, thinking of getting a third. oh by the way I use a dewalt battery impact to install, no problems with stripping the screws

This is a great piece of equipment. I currently have a 80 GB Intel X25-M SSD installed in this converter, which I use as my boot drive on my MacPro (2008 model). Install was easy, it fits perfectly onto the HD sled. With no binding or jamming problems. In fact the unit installs exactly as a regular 3.5 HD would. The SSD sits nice and snug inside the converter without the use of additional parts and/or cables. The air vents allow for adequate air flow and cooling. Although the majority of the converter is plastic, it is very built well!! If you are looking for a great converter, this might be your answer.

Worked perfectly with my Intel SSD drive to install into my CoolerMaster HAF932 case. I previously bought a BYTEC bracket which was a terrible product! Highly recommended!
