Convenient to have, setup of ports for IP cameras super easy. Wifi and hardwire networking both equally fast this thing is a beast with a intel processor. Great for simultaneously streaming and online gaming even at the same time no differences in speed. I have a 1.2gb network speed and this setup makes everything work without struggling for bandwidth or loading speeds. New app for the newer versions of the ARRIS stuff is sweet too super easy to use and easy to understand. The color of the modem combo is black so it's super easy to keep clean and dust free.

I wish I would have switched from the Comcast provided modem router months ago! We had a lot of trouble with the Comcast product not allowing use of our phones for surfing or even simple searches on our wired PC. I even purchased an extender that didn't really help. I was about to pick up our 4th (yes fourth) router from them when a friend suggested buying our own. I'll admit, it's only been one weekend, but so far, we're able to use multiple phones and surfing is lightening fast on the PC and also extremely quick on the phone.

Setup was easy REALLY fast! My old cable modem, an Arris SURFboard SB6182, with a maximum theoretical throughput of 383 Mbps. A couple weeks ago, Xfinity/Comcast told me that they were moving my service to a new trunk they'd installed closer to my house due to new construction in my area, and that they were also raising the speed on my service tier to 400MBps. I tested speeds several times with both my old SB6182 and my new SB6190 and they were as follows: Old trunk, about 2 miles away: 240Mbps down, 11 Mbps up, 14 MS latency New trunk, about 50 yards away: 290Mbps down, 12.2 Mbps up, 11MS latency New trunk, new SB6190 modem: 482Mbps down, 13.5Mbps up, 9Ms latency These speeds have been consistent across multiple runs for each device. The SB6190 has a maximum theoretical throughput of 1.4Gbps, so I won't need to upgrade this one anytime soon.
