In Portable External Hard Drives

Easy to set up. Fast transfers and a small footprint. I traditionally swap out my external drives about once a year. Each year they get bigger. This year I bought 2 5TB drives to replace my older pair of 2TB drives. (My old ones will remain an archive.) So far, I have only activated one, but it is working fine.

Low cost for 2TB storage, USB 3.0

Small enough to toss in a camera bag or a pocket, cheap enough to keep a backup of your backup. Formatted for a Mac without any issues.

This is my 2nd one so I felt pretty safe in buying another one. Fired right up and no problems.

This is no harder to set up than a thumb drive and at a much lower price than a thumb drive of the same storage capacity. And it takes a standard micro-USB to type-A USB cord

I use this drive for backups once a week or so and it seems reliable so far. Back when external enclosures had their own power supplies, I had one drive go bad. Since they're all USB powered I haven't had any problems. I'm a pretty low impact user. I leave this drive at home.

The 5TB external hard-drive is great, it holds an inordinate amount of movies, documents and other information. The price was very reasonable and affordable for a 5TB storage device. I am really happy with this purchase and would recommend it to others.

1.Set up was SUPER EASY as it already has the settings to format it. 2.it was quick in the formatting process.

great hard drive being 6tb is better than there 5tb and really not much bigger can hardly tell the difference as photos show 5tb on bottom

I bought this drive for my son as a Christmas present. The drive came well protected and in great shape as I have come to expect from all of my years as a Newegg customer. Install was a simple plug and play.

- Small, lightweight and ultra portable - The casing is pretty sturdy, feels rugged and substantial. Most casings are cheap plastic but this is metal. - Easy setup. Just plug and use. Windows 10 automatically recognized the drive and a folder popped up for use. - Utilizes USB 3.0 which is now ubiquitous on modern computers. Allows for faster transfer speeds compared to legacy USB 2.0 which is still commonly used. Cable is included but its pretty short. - USB-C - Western Digital "Discovery" is also included on the drive which is a hub for drive diagnostics, managing other drives, software updates and notifications. - 3 year warranty - CrystalDiskMark SEQ: 172/165 r/w MB/s......4k: 0.621/1.754 r/w MB/s - Speeds above are pretty decent compared to other drives in it's class
