This battery backup has everything I needed to protect my system. I have my 24" iMac, multifunction printer (in one of the surge protected outlets, 4 external HD's, speakers and modem/router all plugged into it. It offers true sinewave output, which I am happy about as much of the data for my business is on multiple hard drives that I do not want damaged. I use really large files for images for my design business and if they get corrupted due to power surges I am ruined. Again, this UPS makes me feel much better about leaving my computer running all the time and not worrying about a surge or the power going out for a few minutes while a file is writing to a HD.

- The APC DE600M1 Back-UPS 600 VA 330 watts is a lot smaller than some other similar units. - Just plug it in, plug in whatever devices you want on either battery / surge (5 outlets) or just surge (2 outlets), press the power button and it just goes! - I really enjoy the PowerChute software with the Back-UPS. You can configure the utility to safely shut your computer down under specific circumstances (either when the computer has been using the battery backup for a selected amount of time OR shut your computer down when the battery only has a selected amount of time left). Connect the USB cable from the Back-UPS to your computer. Download the PowerChute software from APC-dot-com. Run the installer and you’re good to go. Launch the PowerChute software and you get different options like Monitor System (Performance, Current Status, Run Self-Test, and Energy Usage), Configuration (Options, Run-time, Notification, Sensitivity, and Voltage), Help and Support (Help, Technical Data, Contact APC, and About). While you could use this as a stand-alone battery backup, the Back-UPS’s full potential is unlocked when you use PowerChute! - It has a USB port on the Back-UPS for charging your mobile devices (1.5A).

It has displays and readings for anything you could need. I even know when there has been a power fluctuation with audible clicks. Its been working great since I got it 8 months ago. It gets a real workout during the storms around here.. Be sure to register it for your warranty

I bought this 3 years ago to protect my entertainment system (tv, stereo, consoles, etc). It works great and haven't had any issues with it. Has protected my equipment from power surges during blackouts and severe storms. 3 years and my stuff still works

interfaces with NUT on NAS4Free server perfectly

Works great. I like the slim upright design.Gives my wife more leg room under her desk. She also can't accidently kick cords loose.

Pure sine wave, size, LCD readout, included software.

It was the exact battery for my unit. Slid it in, plugged the battery in, closed the case, plugged the UPS into the wall. That was it.

Great build quality. Great warranty/support. Unobtrusive Design. Sufficient power backup for most low power household devices (monitor/TV, small appliances, HTPCs, gaming consoles, NAS/router setups, USB & laptop chargers, etc)

I like its flat and over sized shape, and it is probably my favorite surge protector. Seems to be high quality built. I would buy an other one if I would not have too many surge protectors now and maybe if it would go on sale again.
