I bought 3 of these for a business that requested these because of losing power for a few seconds, and having to reboot the system and not interrupting something they was in
Lots of backup power, more than enough plug ins, and attractive product.
Pure Sine wave Output on Battery. Plenty of battery back up outlets.
It's relatively cheap compare to other similar class products. Software is simple and works well... Does the job with 80 Plus Gold 750W PFC Power supply.
Keeps the cable box from having to go through the painful reboot cycle, if power glitches for a second. Has enough wattage to run most folks home computer, cable box & etc. Software allows viewing power demand - updated every 10 seconds.
Bought this for the small footprint as it needed to sit in a small space. It was exactly what I was looking for and keeps my Fiber modem and ethernet adapter running for many hours. I like that you can disable the alarm easily and that it was very straightforward to hook up and power on.
You connect a cable to attach the battery. No more of the insert the battery, slide on the flimsy plastic door and hope it works.
The SMC1000C model (600w) may be sufficient for most gaming PC's. Mine is overclocked and uses more power than most so I opted for the SMC1500C (900w) model.
Had to replace an 8 year old model Cyberpower unit that had the motherboard die. I have had excellent luck with Cyberpower and this is the first unit I have ever had to replace.
I have 3 of these. The geometry works well for my use case. Has USB charging port.
I have this UPS for more than 3 years. One day battery died on it. I took it apart and using heavy gauge speaker wire (gauge #2 for 200 Amps) connected to a large external sealed acid battery that I have for solar system. Now, this UPS can have more than 2 hours standby power when we had power failure last year.
Using this battery for the HDTV, Uverse box, and stereo equipment with very common brown-outs in our area. This gives me time to shut down the TV and stereo properly instead of crashing everything. Not even a hiccup during momentary power losses.
I use the battery backup to control when the computer system is drawing power from the main supply line. With this system in place, I can use the computer system on battery power if needed outside the optimum main-line connection hours. It is reliable and appears to provide good, even power, which has eliminated a certain random bootup failure that appeared when I was using an inferior UPS.
Cheap, pretty, does what it should, easy to install and operate.
- Thin profile and modern design - Full featured, including USB charging ports - Front access battery compartment for easy access - Right angle plug to fit flush against the wall - LCD screen, really nice functionality - Alarm mute button right on the front - Cooling fan
Plenty of capacity to keep our Xserve and network switch online during brief power outages
+ Size + Ready to Use out of the box + USB ports for other devices + Price
Compact Size Great monitoring software Good battery capacity Sleek looking
APC is the company to get battery back ups from.
Charged battery and it works great. Have the essentials plugged in for those brownouts and power bumps. Makes life easier when you don't have to restart computers, modems and routers.
