I was looking for a replacement of AirPort Extreme with some additional features like WIFI6, WPA3, network isolation and VLan tagging. I needed 802.1Q to isolate Guest and IoT from other network. I was looking for a AX router that actually have a faster than 1G network LAN port. When I see all those router claiming high WiFi speed without providing a better connection than 1G I only see marketing there. The Engenius come with a 2.5G LAN port than can also accept power with POE+ which allow clean installation and perfect match of speed between Wifi and LAN. Added with the ability to turn off all the lights so it can be installed at the best place possible without issue at night. I was also preferring a more traditional on-device webpage configuration rather than a IOS application. The Engenius is independent of other device and can be configured from anything.
