i get tired of writing glowing reviews for Ubiquiti products, but here we are again......

This is a commercial grade AP at high end consumer pricing. That means commercial reliability without commercial grade higher pricing. Ubiquiti products are supported. There is a large community of users online. There is chat. There is telephone support. The technical knowledge in all areas is excellent and all three channels of support are free. The hardware is well designed and it just works. The integrated environment of Unifi products simplifies installation, upgrades and maintenance. To leverage that fully, you need a Unifi AP, a Unifi switch a unifi security gateway (router), and a Unifi controller. The controller can be a Unifi cloud controller or they offer the controller software for Windows 10 or Linux for free. Some people run the controller on a Raspberry Pi. You need the controller for the Unifi environment but I believe you just lose functionality for anything else missing, but I run all of these. Another strength of this environment is remote management of your network.

Super stable, solid performance, attractive

Hooked to Ethernet switch connected to Starlink. Allowed wifi inside metal building. The POE injector allowed the turning on of access point, remotely where internet cable at switch is located.

The instructions provided the information to connect and configure the access point (AP). Power over Ethernet (POE) made installation clean.

Strong signal throughout the house and the yard, even on 5 GHz. My house is 2000 sq/ft single story. Exterior walls are brick, stone, and Hardy Board, but I also have a lot of windows. I'm averaging about -40 to -55 dBm on 5 GHz throughout the house, depending on how many walls are between the NanoHD and myself. One I head outside I am still holding the 5 GHz out to about the sidewalk, then it will switch over to 2.4 GHz. On 2.4 GHz I can head across the street or next door to have a beer with the neighbors and I still have a fast connection. The NanoHD has around 30-35 devices connected to it at any given time and it doesn't even phase it. Speed doesn't slow down, WiFi never drops out, it just works...and really well. You will have to use the UNIFI software to configure the device, it is required, there is no other way to configure it. You can buy a Cloud Key for this, or just download the software for free from Ubiquiti and install it on a computer. The software has a very cool feature where you can upload or draw out a floor plan of your house and it will tell you the very best place to install the NanoHD. I would highly recommend this method to find the sweet spot to install it, mine is on the ceiling just about in the center of the house. Also, the POE injector comes in the box. It is a small one, but work just fine. It is white, wall mountable 15w, 48v, 802.3af, with gigabit ports. The description on Newegg says that a POE injector is not included, so I purchased one at the same time I bought the NanoHD...now I have a spare I guess since one was in the box.
