Non so far

-Found, formatted in a jiffy. Saved a 13 year old WD 4TB blue without a mirror. 500GB sections. Writing 5%-26-57-69% from WD to New IronWolf at 100% 9GB RAM DDR4 total being used. -No WD "headbreaking" ? It talks. Says "hello". Drops a platter smoothly, coin in a slot sound. Arm moves. a bit.01010101? My WD Black with headbreaking is driving me nuts, 6' away. With softening/volume. exc. This is larger, same speed and "quiet" So much bigger and better?! -Very few clicks or platter pops. (Quiet and fast?) -Backed-up files and have 8TB of HDD! -I expect it to last 10 years as it will not be .temp files. Or programs that re-write.

Synology drives are guaranteed compatible and recommended for Synology enclosures.

One of largest drives on the market. Meant for 24/7 operation. Quiet. Works well in my NAS. No errors found on drive.

The 6 TB version seemed like the best balance between price, size, performance and noise / heat. This is going in a 4 bay NVR which is in a very quiet environment. So far, these drives seem much quieter than the 7200rpm version (during seek) which are being swapped out 1 at a time to allow the RAID rebuilds to catch up. Temps are 10C lower than the 7200 pro version. (37C vs. 47-49C per SMART data.)

plugged in, has worked for the past two weeks. No overt warnings about excessive bad sectors

Love the capacity - cannot wait for the future 30TB hard drives but for now this is the biggest consumer drive possible.

was on sale seems a lot more quieter then my old seagate drive

Name Brand, only 1 drive has failed in the last 4 years out of 150-200 drives installed. Def recommend.

perfect for NAS. I don't really need the AI function in the drives they sit in a UNIFI protect set up. I have the 24TB one in my home protect set up and initially it was loud, but it has become more quite since it finished it originally set up. I have 8 of the 8TB drives with no issues. 2 are cold spares. when they go in I'll order 2 more. I take the drives that are out of warranty and typically put them in our 3rd tier backup NAS systems and they seem to live forever. Technically out of "service life" but that doesn't mean I take them offline, I stick them into a lower use environment to live out their days storing old accounting stuff. Nothing as exciting as VIDEO

This drive is fast, has excellent firmware, and is helium filled. I actually spoke with a firmware developer at WD and he said this is the drive to get (or a larger model).

Plopped 4 of these in a Synology NAS, seem to be working great for the past month.

Good performance for 7200 RPM drives Mostly silent operation Running 24/7 in RAID 1 without issues Good value at 350USD each (you may find a different price) CMR technology, 5-year warranty

Speed 250 MBytes + per sec. Reliable just as WD Black HDD are. So far so good after 1 month.

Works no problem, silent decent amount of storage

Working great after about a week. Sure seems like it's faster than my old one.

Doing LLM training and needed to use a 35TB training file and 3TB validation file. Used 3 of these drives to create a RAID 0 drive with approx 54TB capacity. (this is on Ubuntu and formatted with XFS file system since usual EXT4 tops out at about 16TB file size.) Works great and much faster than a single drive would be due to the striping of RAID 0.
