18tb of storage is great

Doing LLM training and needed to use a 35TB training file and 3TB validation file. Used 3 of these drives to create a RAID 0 drive with approx 54TB capacity. (this is on Ubuntu and formatted with XFS file system since usual EXT4 tops out at about 16TB file size.) Works great and much faster than a single drive would be due to the striping of RAID 0.

This hard drive does its job and has a lot more room than my old one.

WD Blue drives perform as advertised. I have used many over the years.

I ordered two to swap out two regular desktop drives in my ReadyNas. The model is on ReadyNas's HCL. But I was worried about the packaging from others' reviews and experiences of my colleagues. Mine came in yesterday. The packaging was great. Each was boxed individually with plastic suspension (to hold the drive in the middle of the box). The two boxes were in the middle of shipping carton full of peanuts. I put the first drive when the nas was off. It has synced up successfully. I hot swapped 2nd one in today. It's still syncing. So no DOA. The drives are quite. I didn't notice the drive's noise, given readynas' fan is relative loud. The drives are also cool from the nas's report. I guess I was lucky, given some users reported poor packaging they got recently and high DOA rates. I hope Newegg will keep up the standard. I will pull the disk out for more thorough test later. The primary reason for me to have the nas and these drives is high reliability.

great price with the promo, easy plug and play

Speed and price. This drive performs well and the price is as low as it can really be. My tests give the following: Maximum write: 207 MB/s Average write: 119 MB/s Access timing: 19 ms Sequential read speeds hit ranges of 175-225 MB/s. Random speeds can be pretty slow, but we know how that works. This is still a spinning drive. Write speeds were pretty similar, a bit lower as you'd expect.

Product is sturdy and well built, and it installed with no issues at all. Fast and quiet as well.

Purchase four hard drives for my surveillance system. And, have not had an issue thus far.

on-time delivery. Checked to make sure I knew it was SAS not SATA. No complaints had it for about a couple months now.

- Capacity - Speed - Buffer size - Reliability

I have not installed it yet so my comment is on the value for 4 TB of storage from a great brand. I plan to use it mainly for backups and C drive images. Speed is not an issue and being a mechanical drive, I hope to get some warning of impending failure years from now vs a sudden SSD failure

It is a HDD for a surveillance system. It does what it is supposed to do.

I bought one months ago and just got another. They work great as NAS storage. Although not as fast as the WD-BLACK line, they are faster than cheaper drives. They are also quieter than my other 4TB drives.

Massive storage to put all of my game recordings in... and maybe as a standby when the unexpected happens.

The drives work perfectly, as I would expect from Western Digital. Very quick turn-around on the order.
