Just plug into USB port bottom front of case. Put disk in and it goes. Nice size, cord seems long enough to put unit on top of case. It does what it suppose to do. Order it when i ordered a new computer. The new computers don;t come with internal CD drive. Glad someone mentioned it in there review.

When it arrived it so well packed that it took me 5 minutes to be able to open it. I was surprise of the quality and the nice look of that dvd writer. The usb type c is a nice feature but it also work on usb 3.0 for poeple that does not have a type c. The quality of the material is high end and nice to look at. I am working with Windows 11 and it was recognize in no time.

My main concern was for it to playback DVD-DL discs. It does and very well. Used to be you needed a very expensive DVD Blu- Ray player for that. Play back is great, picture great.
