Free shipping and yet it arrives the very next day? Sign me up! Plugged into my wife's new laptop and was immediately recognized w/o the software that accompanied it (laptop is running windows 8). The price was a bit more than some cheaper options but there's a reason this model is getting the reviews it is.. you wont go wrong picking it up if you find yourself in need of a CD-ROM. I'm not even sure we will ever utilize the DVD writing capabilities but regardless, I'm very happy with the purchase.
