easy to install disk easy to use fast

Made of metal, requires no drive rails or tools. 3.5" drives are quickly & easily swapped. No issues with compatibility discovered so far - great news, considering I have some newer HDD docks made by WavLink & have experienced some compatibility issues with certain systems.

eSATA connection has a natural ability to boot, to convey SMART data, and achieve an as-if internal drive status. It's a pity that eSATA enclosures are becoming rare. Of the eSATA enclosures I've used -- including Fantec, Delock, Conrad, Raidsonic, Orico, AKiTio -- the NexStar has the best build quality and the best compatibility with a variety of HDDs, along with maximum performance.

It is well made, compact, made of metal for good heat dissipation, and has a fan that can be turned on/off when needed. I do music production and like to turn of the fan when in mix/mastering. The noise of fan is not much but I rather have that control. I put two 16tb hard drives and it is fast. I can't test if the data transfer speeds are as advertised but I am satisfied with the product.
