The case is solid. I have no fear of putting my expensive hard drives in it. It's easy to open. The levers are all in good condition and ejecting the trays is a smooth experience. Adding the drives is easy and they mounted in the finder without any issue. I used Apple's RAID assistant to put all the drives into a single raid. Again an effortless, smooth experience.

Performance: This adapter worked flawlessly for the single task I bought it for; to copy the user files of a failing laptop onto another storage medium. Tip: Keep your eyes open when opening the carton. The retaining screw and nut for the SSD's PCB are in a very small envelope.
