In Portable External Hard Drives

Easy to set up. Fast transfers and a small footprint. I traditionally swap out my external drives about once a year. Each year they get bigger. This year I bought 2 5TB drives to replace my older pair of 2TB drives. (My old ones will remain an archive.) So far, I have only activated one, but it is working fine.

This is no harder to set up than a thumb drive and at a much lower price than a thumb drive of the same storage capacity. And it takes a standard micro-USB to type-A USB cord

It works great. In my case I'm only using for backup so its not constantly being used. USB 3.0 is definitely nice to have.

I bought two of the WD 2TB My Passport Portable Storage external hard drives in red. I plan to keep one at home and the other in my safe deposit box. The red color was more expensive, but it makes backing up files more fun to do! These drives are easy to use, and I did not install the software; I just plugged-and-played. great hard drive being 6tb is better than there 5tb and really not much bigger can hardly tell the difference as photos show 5tb on bottom

4TB at an affordable price - storage is coming down in price Seems solidly built. Will survive in a travel bag without being damaged I’m impressed with how small and portable Western Digital was able to make this 4TB drive Legacy USB-A connectors are still widely used. Thankfully this drive comes with an adapter!!! Software is able to interface with cloud storage like Facebook, Dropbox, and Google Drive. It also offers a hardware based encryption with a dedicated chip for AES 256-bit encryption Good styling - the blue is a dark blue and I think it looks nice Solid warranty of 3 years both for parts and labor. Better than most companies. They will probably replace your drive, but I doubt they will try to recover your files for you
