If you are having a problem with these discs, it' your own *lovely* fault. This is my 2nd spindle, backing up music, games, not a single coaster. I'm on my 57th disc burning with an LG Blu-Ray burner and haven't had any problems. Verbatim, everything they produce, is gold. I remember buying their 3.5" FDs...still have them and I'm sure they would still read if I still had a 3.5" FDD. Bland CDs, DVDs, Blu-Ray, it's Verbatim for me all the way. Never had a coaster from them. Maybe I just know what the hell I'm doing. I don't need blank media like I did "back in the day", but when I do, Verbatim is the only brand I'll use. Had to edit my review to keep from offending you bunch of....

Excellent product with ZERO coasters and well suited for long term archival storage. I never burn at more than 4X (and that only takes about 11 minutes). Is time really THAT precious? Remember, the disk MAY appear OK if you burn at 12X or 16X, but whether it will be good 5-7 years from now is questionable. I'll wait the extra couple of minutes rather than lose the data over the long term. Give the laser time to do its magic and stop pushing the bleeding edge.

I think I had only two bad burns and I have used almost all of these DVD's. I need to order a few more. I use Nero 8 burning at 2x, the lowest speds, seems to read in my other non computer media readers. Highly recommend to anyone to get these, especially if they are on sale, as these were when I bought them.
