An inexpensive and reliable option to buying discs at retail outlets. I just couldn't believe the price, and free shipping to boot.

Have been buying Verbatim since i first got a dvd burner after i found out sony, maxell, and other companys disks are just inexpensive coasters... Only have coasters every once and a while and thats my errors not the disk...

No problems with burning with a NEC burner at 8X. No problems with Video. Just make sure to update the firmware on your burner and set the speed to slow. 4x is just as good as 8x overnight.

If you are having a problem with these discs, it' your own *lovely* fault. This is my 2nd spindle, backing up music, games, not a single coaster. I'm on my 57th disc burning with an LG Blu-Ray burner and haven't had any problems. Verbatim, everything they produce, is gold. I remember buying their 3.5" FDs...still have them and I'm sure they would still read if I still had a 3.5" FDD. Bland CDs, DVDs, Blu-Ray, it's Verbatim for me all the way. Never had a coaster from them. Maybe I just know what the hell I'm doing. I don't need blank media like I did "back in the day", but when I do, Verbatim is the only brand I'll use. Had to edit my review to keep from offending you bunch of....

Needed to record over and over my Cable TV sports games on DVD player/recorder.

I have had Very Good results with these. The only "coasters" were because of mistakes I made. Another nice thing about them is (I think) that they are supposed to work with special Thermal disk printers for labeling. I "examined" a few coasters by cutting them up to see how they are constructed. These are not your run-of-the-mill media with the reflective/recordable surface "painted on". These have an additional protective layer over that one. These are Very Tough Media. You could probably run over these with a car and they would still be readable.

I've burned many hundreds of these, maybe approaching one thousand, and I've had ZERO coasters. I repeat ZERO. I thought I had first coaster a few days ago, but it turned out to be a blank that had picked up some dirt, so I cleaned it and presto, it burned OK too. I couldn't recommend them any higher.
