Not as flimsy as I thought from reading other reviews but bought the protection plan anyways because it was cheap enough! This little thing works great! plug and play and you get two types of cords for your needs. has little rubber stoppers on the bottom so it doesn't slide around, I don't know what that other person was talking about it does not slide around. When it arrived it so well packed that it took me 5 minutes to be able to open it. I was surprise of the quality and the nice look of that dvd writer. The usb type c is a nice feature but it also work on usb 3.0 for poeple that does not have a type c. The quality of the material is high end and nice to look at. My main concern was for it to playback DVD-DL discs. It does and very well. Used to be you needed a very expensive DVD Blu- Ray player for that. Play back is great, picture great.
