Ordered 3 of these. The quality of packing was excellent - multiple layers bubble wrap in peanuts. Don't know if this is technically good enough for Seagate warranty purposes but it seems very reasonable to me.

Purchase four hard drives for my surveillance system. And, have not had an issue thus far.

Has not failed or given errors so far Western Digital seems to be the best spinning HD company at this moment

perfect for NAS. I don't really need the AI function in the drives they sit in a UNIFI protect set up. I have the 24TB one in my home protect set up and initially it was loud, but it has become more quite since it finished it originally set up. I have 8 of the 8TB drives with no issues. 2 are cold spares. when they go in I'll order 2 more. I take the drives that are out of warranty and typically put them in our 3rd tier backup NAS systems and they seem to live forever. Technically out of "service life" but that doesn't mean I take them offline, I stick them into a lower use environment to live out their days storing old accounting stuff. Nothing as exciting as VIDEO

Western Digital performance and reliability has always been top notch. Solid performer.

Simple to use, lots of options available for drive transfers

Easy to clone NVMe drives that would otherwise be a huge pain. No setup, built in functionality, just works. can handle a larger Target NVMe, which was my use case, upgrading an existing OS drive in a Laptop.

Works great (so far). 200MB/s throughout with my other red nas pro drive.

Honestly the nicest drive case I've had in my hands that wasn't metal.

Doing LLM training and needed to use a 35TB training file and 3TB validation file. Used 3 of these drives to create a RAID 0 drive with approx 54TB capacity. (this is on Ubuntu and formatted with XFS file system since usual EXT4 tops out at about 16TB file size.) Works great and much faster than a single drive would be due to the striping of RAID 0.

I bought it for stacking 4 extra hard drives on a none phantek case and it work great, materials are fine for the price, and works great.

No Problem with these drives. Plug them in, initialize, format and you're off and running. Great 5 year warranty and high duty cycle are the draws here.

Bought three to go into my IOSafe N2 (two disk system, one spare), All three came in great packaging and all worked out of the box.

I bought two of the WD 2TB My Passport Portable Storage external hard drives in red. I plan to keep one at home and the other in my safe deposit box. The red color was more expensive, but it makes backing up files more fun to do! These drives are easy to use, and I did not install the software; I just plugged-and-played. These are the smallest external hard drives I've ever had. The shipment arrived quickly. Thank you!

Lightweight, transparent so that I can see the drive that is installed, and simple to remove the HD and install another.

Just works. Comes with clear instructions (once you read the correct side) and feels fairly durable. The lights for the % done is bright enough and clear.
