Great price for drives that are compatible with my NAS - I was able to create a RAID5 type array with 3 of these and still have about 14 TB of disk space.

Drive was easy to install and setup. Seems to be working great thus far.

Cheap but fast: the 7.2k rpm allows for reasonably fast read speeds. Not as fast as SSDs but pretty dang good. I keep my games on here but keep my launchers on a separate m.2 ssd 2tb: I did a reasonable amount of comparing to similarly priced SSDs and in conjunction with my previous point, it was worth sacrificing the speed for the extra space. A similarly priced Samsung SATA SSD would have only gotten me 500gb

Received drive where it was in a frame in center of box which was in a semi secure Newegg box. Plugged in drive into old mediasonic probox that was rated for 8tb drives. Worked fine. Ubuntu says you have to format that 16tb size as GPT and that worked fine. Over 14tb usable space. Temp of drive is similar to my 4 and 8tb WD red drives and is much cooler than the 10tb WD Plus drive. Speed was high at around 200MB transfer rates. Noise was slightly higher than the 4tb WD drives, but still low. Drive is new, not used, not recertified. Manufacture date is March 2023 which is when the warranty starts, so not very long ago.

Got it running on my synology for plex media!! Running great!! Gets a bit loud but I'm use to it.

Installed in a As1104T NAS. Installation was simple and the drive has performed well. Its quiet in Operations and, so far, has had no problems in use across the network. Newegg has been a recent "go to" for my network storage needs.

It works. You plug it in to your USB port and away it goes. A pretty good backup program gets installed and you just tell it what you want. What more could you want. The competitive product I had decided it needed all new software which didn't work. You do have to wonder why companies insist on trashing functioning programs with stuff that just doesn't work.

For Synology NAS users, the Synology brand drives means easier adoption, less headaches and fewer notifications. The extra small pennies/gb price per GB over other enterprise drives with worth it. No need to worry about compatibility with many features of DSM 7.1

Worked great after Windows 11 rollback
