It works. You plug it in to your USB port and away it goes. A pretty good backup program gets installed and you just tell it what you want. What more could you want. The competitive product I had decided it needed all new software which didn't work. You do have to wonder why companies insist on trashing functioning programs with stuff that just doesn't work.

Compatibility is the key and this product prides itself on compatibility. If there are any issues, Newegg and Manufacturer are right there to assist and quickly resolve the issue to get you up and running

I would recommend Western Digital HDDs (or even their SSDs, I've got those, too) to anyone needing to expand or enlarge their existing system. Easy to install and configure to your Windows OS.

Very well packaged. was in sealed anti static, in bubble sleeve, in a box, in another shipping box. It was sold as a refurbished HDD. Had been started 3 times and had 19 hours of use. Very happy with the HDD and am anxious to place it into service.

Just works. Comes with clear instructions (once you read the correct side) and feels fairly durable. The lights for the % done is bright enough and clear.

great hard drive being 6tb is better than there 5tb and really not much bigger can hardly tell the difference as photos show 5tb on bottom

Easy to use. Automatically detected by Windows 7 and used with a variety of 2.5 and 3.5" drives. I have not used it with USB 3.0 so I'm unsure of max transfer speeds.

I bought this external hard drive for two main reasons. Western Digital quality, storage space and price. I wanted an additional driver with more than double the capacity of my three present drives with over five years on them. It was time to get a back up with greater storage to backup my aging drives. The transfer process has allowed me to cull out duplicate and no longer needed files. Speed is decent but backup storage is more important to me. So far I’m satisfied with price, value, quality and storage space. Peace of mind at the right price. Go out and get one.

For the price and the size it was perfect. Quiet and great load speeds.

Good SSD cooler with one caveat. Comes with several heat pads of different thickness and even includes a mini screwdriver. Installing a single-sided SSD will have no issues whatsoever.
