its an enterprise spinning drive that does what it says. not ssd but doesnt have to worry about wearing out.

* The FireCuda is a very nice well built hybrid SSHD with a 5400 rpm 1 terabyte drive and 8GB of NAND, non volatile memory which provides a buffer for the HD to increase performance. It works very well * Very quiet, with low vibration. I installed the drive in a desktop first and left the case open. The drive was so quiet I was concerned that it was not working. I felt for vibrations, none were noticeable. I wasn’t sure it was working until it showed up in Device Manager for formatting. Impressive. * 5 year warranty, Nice! * Low power requirements means low heat. * Good price for this type of drive. It’s only slightly higher than a regular 2.5” hard drive. * The slim, 7mm thick drive should fit in any laptop or console as a replacement. * The faster boot times sure are nice! A lot of bang for the buck!

This HDD is twice the capacity of the original in a friend's laptop which was bumping into no more room. It cloned easily, and worked fine as soon as it was installed.

Low price, 5.9 on the WEI for a lower speed drive. I like the 16MB cache, that's more than your standard drive in this size, usually they come with 8MB. 250GB is a decent sized replacement for a laptop that people don't download things onto, runs windows 7 beautifully. Booted up and installed no issues. Still running now.

The drive is quiet and fast. Change my Hitachi 5400 to 7200 and can see the difference in performance. As for the battery life is almost the same as the 5400. It doesn't heat up as some people say.

Works good. Typical OEM drive; just the drive nothing else. Western Digital is a name I have never had problems with for some reason. Maxtor , Seagate always issues after a few years of use. Price is good for under thirty dollars delivered.

It worked.

I had a drive fail in a server and I needed a replacement. I found this 146GB drive at an incredible price. Works great.

Great deal on a high-capacity laptop drive for my PS3

- Fast! Picture thumbnails load immediately compared to the Hitachi 500gb I replaced. - Quiet. I can't hear this drive over my PSU fan and that thing is pretty low on the dB scale. - Light and small. I have this drive in a desktop because I felt the 3.5 inch form factor is excessive and read that 2.5 inch drives are more durable, quieter, and run cooler. - The packaging was impressive. I'm generally paranoid with mechanical drives given their fragility but Newegg did a fantastic job packaging this drive. It was out of danger as far as I'm concerned and you shouldn't worry at all about the drive getting damaged when it is shipped to you. Kudos to Newegg for keeping another HDD alive and luckily not arrive DOA due to physical damage. - 1TB is plenty. Managed to install about 300gbs worth of games and still have plenty of room to spare.
