Worked great in my Dell laptop

No issues with installation and operates as expected.

It works like it should. Nothing special about it.

Price, capacity quite sufficient

The hard drives that were sent arrived quickly

Amazingly small hard drive. 2.5" format, so small to begin with, but it is only a quarter inch thick plus or minus. 7mm. Tiny little thing. Easily fits in shirt pocket. So many apps for this when size is important, I would think. Checks out on scans in Windows XP. HD Tach shows burst speed at 240MB/s and 102MB/s average read speed with a 17.4ms random access. Really fast compared to my other drive in there, a 3.5" Seagate, it showed 32MB/s average read speed in comparison on same test. Wanted to put into my daughter in law's spare laptop to modernize it with some memory upgrade, but turns out she didn't have a spare. Oh well, am considering it for a mobile application as soon as I find a nice Sata enclosure for it that is sturdy. It does seem a little bit flimsy, wouldn't want to accidently sit on it in a pocket in Levis. Didn't get warm on full speed during testing, maybe ambient plus 8 degrees farenhiet. Came well packed as always, in ESD package with braces to hold it in center of box. Full model number is ST320LT007

I just can't say enough good about these drives. I really, really like them. The four I purchased back in 2011 are still going strong. I thought I was having problems with one of them and purchased another to replace it, but it turned out the problem was on the controller side and so all five drives are in great shape. I tested the drive in question extensively and could not break it. They run cool, perform fast and are very dependable. I am extremely happy with them after almost two years of heavy workstation usage.

Installed this in my gaming desktop with no problems. Didn’t have space for a mechanical because I removed my hdd tray for a bigger rad in my Lancool 2. So I just added this is the SSD spaces. Works perfectly.

Lots of space, fast, and relatively painless to set up if you know what you're doing or have done this sort of thing before. My Hard Drive rating on Windows went up from 5.5 to 5.9. Windows recognized the hard drive immediately. Runs quietly and at a good temperature.

The HD in my old Toshiba Satellite was showing its age. So I was looking into an SSD but the price vs capacity was a problem. While researching SSd's I discovered the Hybrid drives. A blending of an SSD with a platter system for both speed and capacity. Shortly after that I went ahead and settled on The Seagate FireCuda 500Gig HD. Shipping was the usual quick Newegg style so that Saturday I set to make the change. I downloaded DiskWizard before I started (See the Cons for That experience) Installed the new FireCuda and did a clean install of Win 7 from my rescue disks. After the usual cleanup, re-install of my programs and the MS update process I finally rebooted and . . WOW 30 seconds shaved off my boot time. Been running about a month now with near daily use and as of this writing my laptop boots in about 50 seconds down from 3 minutes with the old drive. The read writes are faster too. Not only that as advertised my battery life has increased due to the drive shutting down the platters after so many minutes of in-activity. I use my Toshiba for email, Office apps, web video, web surfing and light video editing and DVD burning and so far it runs faster all the way around. I do not game with it so I cant attest to that part of its ability. Suffice to say that for me the FireCuda has been a great upgrade. Very happy.

This thing so so much faster than the 4200 rpm drive I had before.. Windows and programs load alot faster.
