1tb in a standard 9.5mm drive. Hooray WD! It's about time. Why didn't you tell Apple? They are still shipping their devices with a 750gb max. I'm ordering one now for my new Macbook Pro. Make that two. I can finally put one in the optical bay.

This is a nice 1TB enterprise Seagate drive in a 2.5" form factor. I'm running this drive in a workstation. It came with a 5 year warranty. (Please note, this most likely will not fit in a laptop, if that is what you are seeking to do. It is much taller than a typical laptop drive.) So far, I'm very happy with it.,

This is a 15k drive in a 2.5inch enterprise form factor. this is designed for use in enterprise grade systems where 2.5inch enterprise drives are used. Newegg is correct in their description.

I'll repeat the headline here: you get near-desktop level 7200 RPM performance in a laptop drive. Fast, reliable, very few early drive failures.

Lots of storage space for a small drive. Is moderately fast. Good amount of cache.

It came to me quicly via NewEgg in Bubble Wrap Packages. I bought 2 of these drives for my Toshiba Satellite X205-SLi1 for a great price. Toshiba wanted amost 3 times more for 160 gig drives. Very Quiet, NO vibration from either drive, that I can tell, I use this machine for my web development applications to include Photoshop, Flash and 3D Animation software. Did I also mention that this is my Gaming Laptop. Works well I am very happy so far.

It works as well as the original drive just much more recording capacity .

Efficient enough to run off a USB port and in an external enclosure. Specs are good. Price was justified (at the time, maybe it still is?).
