Paired with an ORICO 2595US3-RD 2.5" aluminum case, which makes a GREAT heat sink. No rattles. Ran the full HGST test suite and the long windows format. No errors and stayed cool. Always test a new drive the hard way. Oddly, never had a bad drive until a SG failed after six years. Will start putting in desktop PS's because of low power and speed.

I originally bought a Toshiba laptop about 2.5 years ago, and this drive was in it. Since then, the MB on my laptop died and the laptop was no longer useable. About a year ago, I built a really good desktop pc and put this drive in as a secondary storage drive. All in all, the drive works great and never had a problem with it.

I was surprised to find this on sale so I jumped on it and I am glad I did. I have a massive computer with over 7 TBs of hard drives but my operating system was on a 240GB SSD so I really needed to upgrade to a TB SSD.

Drive was easy to install. Laptop came on immediately when tried. Ive purchased more than 10 Seagate drives over time and only had 1 bad . Newegg instantly replaced it without problems.

Quiet and fast. Seems a lot faster than the 160 GB WD drive that it replaced.

I received my hard drive very fast. I haven't installed it yet as I'm waiting on new memory to arrive & install memory & hard drive at the same time. It's a 500 gig so I should have more than enough space on drive.

I had no problem installing my OS. It was shipped on time and with good packing.

I used this as a HD upgrade for my PS3 and it worked well.

I installed this is a Macbook 2.2 gHz machine and it made a huge improvement in performance. I also bought the Rosewill SATA/IDE to USB universal interface adapter and used Super Duper to backup the original hard drive to this one. That process worked without a flaw. Photoshop CS3 and Aperture are much much peppier with this drive. This drive also seems to run much cooler than the stock 120gb Fujitsu hard drive that shipped in my Macbook. istatpro shows the hard drive temp at 93 to 94 degrees. The old drive was consistently at 98 to 99 degrees.
