Fast, Reliable, and Quiet. This drive so far has surpassed everything the original 500G drive offered that it replaced. Even though this drive is only 5400RPM, the density of the data on the platters allow it to have a very fast Sequential Read and Write performance of 150Mb/s+ and an improved Random Read and Write over even a 7200RPM 500G HDD. A 1TB 7200RPM drive may give it a run for it's money in the Random R/W benchmarks, but if you are transferring large files to/from the drive, this drive should give it a good race. One other benefit of it being a 5400RPM drive is it remains nearly silent in operation and runs cooler to boot.

Good hard drive for a 5400 rpm. Does what is supposed to do

Set up the partition for FAT32 plugged it in and everything went smoothly! Great Shipping, Great Products as always!

Cheap, well made, ample storage. Great for everyday use.

Just replaced an 80GB Intel SATA 3GB/S SSD with this hard drive on an Alienware M11xR3. No problems with hard drive detection. Installed Windows without a problem. Had to gain more space because I sold my computer for cash. This doesn't have the performance of the old SSD (that's a given) but a very solid drive. Came in a box 100x the size of the drive wrapped in 15 layers of bubble wrap. No way was this drive going to be DoA.

Cool, quiet and hasn't failed yet.

Good buy just buy it

Sata 3.0, Thinner than usual, Quiet, Fast, Runs Cool, 16 mb Cache, Quality, Price, Perpendicular Recording. A little thinner 7/32 inches tall.. and Regular depth and length. Tough Construction

works as expected. I purchased this to replace a failed SANDISK SSD that died from hibernation/sleeping. I had a backup image from the recent swap, so it was easy to put this in and it worked. * Normal Laptop HDD speeds * Normal or less heat than like drives * No noticeable sounds when accessing drives (original drive was much louder) * Great price when caught on sale at $70 * Good Bang for buck per GB * Shipped in small box within Large Box

Not expensive, FAST!!!, does what it says on the label. Low DOA rate, in my experience.

Plug and Play is all i have to say. This is one awesome drive and it gave me what i needed on my laptop. No noticeable issues and fast performance. Installed on a Dell Inspiron 6400|1505

Works with no issues on install.
