FAST !!! For a conventional sata 3 HDD Crystal Disk Mark gives it a 202mb read and a 199mb write. When transferring large sequential files like backups of over 20GB, I have seen the burst rate of over 500GB for the first 10-20 seconds. My main drive is a Samsung SSD 840 pro which will read and write at over 500mb's a second. Not as fast but a lot cheaper and larger, if you can get it on sale.

Western Digital. I've always gone with them, and I've never had a problem. I was skeptical about purchasing a refurbished drive, but with WD's track record, I figured I'd give it a go. So far, the drive works great right out of the box. Better yet, the thing looks brand new. No idea what the heck they refurbished, but I'd say it's a new drive.

cheaper then HP Drives

if you think your ssd sata III is fast, you havent spent enough money to see really fast! system: Atto sas express h608 HBA 6gb/s controller + savvio seagate sas 6gb/s 2.5 drive@15000 rpms. crosshairIV-970 phenom 3.5ghz-C300crucial ssd 6gb/s-scsi ultra 320 (amd chipset ocz ram)

After reading two reviews saying that this would work for the PS3 I went ahead and bought it and I'm glad I did. The whole process took about 30 minutes and it was pretty simple. I haven't encountered any issues so far, other than the install time being a little slower but I don't know if that's because I have one of the original 20GB models. Anyway, if you're on the fence about this then I'd suggest you just buy it. After the install you'll have about 230GB of space left and that's still plenty of space.

This was a replacement HDD for a Toshiba Tecra R950, replacing the primary HDD of the same model and specs. So far, it's working just as the old one was! Price was also appropriate for a drive with these specs.

replaced 30gb on IBM R51 thinkpad Installed, loaded system. Quiet as heck and faster than drive it replaced

I bought this hard drive five months ago as a replacement for my laptop's terribly small 250 GB hard drive. The cloning process to the new hard drive went flawlessly, and has been working since then. It produces nice transfer speeds that are around 60 MB/s. Of course, five months isn't a long time, so more time will be a good test for it.

Fast service Stood behind product they sold

1 TB storage, 2.5" size - Nice and small, lightweight, yet still 7200 RPM and 6 Gigabit throughput. SATA for today's controllers. Small enough to easily fit into my USB to SATA case for use as a backup hard drive.

I cloned the Vista 160gb HDD from my 1.6gHz 5 year old Gateway Notebook onto this drive, swapped it and then did the 32bit Win7 Home Premium upgrade. It is like a new computer, quieter, cooler and boots in about 1/5th the time. Browsing and other cache-able operations are even faster. And there was plenty of room for Ubuntu Linux in dual boot.

- Quick delivery - Very secure and padded shipping box - Drive worked right away with no issues

Great price, great drive. Great service from Newegg as usual. An hour after ordering, a sale email came in from Newegg on this drive, and a quick online chat with a great Newegg rep. got me a refund of the difference.
