The IronWolf is rated as an NAS drive. I used them in an attached external drive in Raid1 for important video content I couldnt afford to lose. I cant speak to longevity but Im confident they will meet and exceed my expectations.

More Space

I upgraded my Synology NAS with these drives. They werent on Synologys compatible list, but I used them anyway. I trust the WD Red brand. Ive been using the Red brand for 10 years with no data loss. Only time will tell if these new drives hold up. They seem zippy. I got a great price from NewEgg, so I would definitely recommend them.

It took some BIOS tweaking (and a little guessing to be honest) to get the OS to install on this at first, but not worth dropping the rating down. As mentioned, this drive is running in my server and holds the OS along with the few other applications that are installed. No problems out of it.

Solid drive. 22tb formatted in windows 11. Replaced an old Toshiba x800 5tb 128mb cache and it is a lot faster, and I can't hear it at all. Getting 275mb read/write with sata3 internal on an x470 aorus mobo, and I even got around 250mb/s using a usb 3.0 enclosure for testing purposes. Not much more to say, I'm glad I picked this up!! =D

Just bought and seemed like great Price for the size. Just as fast as my 4TB drive

240+MiB/s sequential write speed while connected to a USB3 dock. Came very well packaged.

Typical WD quality

Good performance for 7200 RPM drives Mostly silent operation Running 24/7 in RAID 1 without issues Good value at 350USD each (you may find a different price) CMR technology, 5-year warranty

Easy to installno issues!!!

Good price, good speeds

Works great (so far). 200MB/s throughout with my other red nas pro drive.

One of largest drives on the market. Meant for 24/7 operation. Quiet. Works well in my NAS. No errors found on drive.

Easy setup and easy copying

Works well, large drive, pretty fast. No issues so far after 2 weeks. Primarily used for gaming, which it seems to handle well.

I bought these based on the reviews, and they do not disappoint.

20Tb capacity and on sale at a reasonable price. CMR thus suitable for virtually all workloads. Be aware the Exos drives have a higher TBW rating (data transferred per year) so in some applications this MAY matter. In mine it doesn't. Plenty of experience with this series in different capacities, thus far no complaints or issues.

quiet and fast

Good storage

Great value for the overall cost
