No problems with the installation. The drive runs quiet and cool, and I had no trouble using it on an older 3.0 Gb/s SATA port. Transfer speed is very good for a drive with variable/low spindle speed. Newegg shipping was quick, as usual, the packaging was somewhat spartan but effective. Sometimes they ship HDDs in a proper shell, this one was in bubble wrap inside a box. It works. The price with promo code was really nice. 3 year warranty is better than most HDDs in this price range.

This was a replacement for a DOA after purchasing several drives. Not Newegg fault. Seagate should QC better. Newegg got my replacement out same day I sent back, total return time was 2 business days. FAST AS HELL. Excellent service. And the drive works perfectly now with the others. And the price was excellent for the storage. Transfer speed is better than 200MB/S. 14.5 GB formatted space. Great value.

I ordered three of these drives so far and they have worked exceptionally well on my Synology NAS (ds1823xs+). While they are being accessed, they are certainly audible, but not noisy enough to cause a problem. I have already written around 15 TBs to each drive without any issues. Two of the drives are in a raid 1 configuration for redundancy. If I ever need more capacity, I wouldn't hesitate to order two more of these.

It's a decent drive for it's money. It's nice to have all my media on one drive.

Installed in a As1104T NAS. Installation was simple and the drive has performed well. Its quiet in Operations and, so far, has had no problems in use across the network. Newegg has been a recent "go to" for my network storage needs.

In very few drives it gives you a whole lot of space. Some reviews say it's loud, but I can't hear it over the slight humm of the fans on my NAS.

Newegg specific: Super strong bubble wrap around HDD, in fitted box, placed in loose bubble wrap within a bigger box. Fantastic packaging, especially compared to some online retailers here in AU. It's something I was really worried about for such a long journey.

Installed and mirrored two 16 TB drives for a NAS. These drives run 24/7 and used for data backup and streaming of my video collection. They are so quiet and responsive. I had previously used the same brand but lower capacity for 4 years without any failure. Those previous drives have been repurposed for desktop storage and still performing well.

Synology drives are guaranteed compatible and recommended for Synology enclosures.

Love this hdd, love the speed hasn't given me any issues, still running stable.
