We have used them: as quick SATA docks for transferring data from old hard drives, as network storage by attaching unit to our router's USB port, as OS boot drive for a Rockstor NAS installation with WD Velociraptor 160gb drives. I was able to plug in some old HDD and get some pictures and documents I needed. Local companies wanted to charge a lot just for a simple process. Just plug it in and wait for it to load up then navigate and drag and drop. I could be happier. Im unsure of cloning as I didnt need to do that.

Easy installation with SAMSUNG 980 M.2 2280 1TB PCI-Express 3.0 x4, NVMe. My bad, the screw need to insert from the back (read the installation manual). Take less than a minute to put it together. Recognize by windows 10 right away, format with MBR since this is only 1TB. Did not do a read/write testing but definitely faster than hard drive. Ha! Ha! Wait to see the long term reliability.

Bought the F4-424 and D4-320 to replace my DS-413 and AS1004T, took me about 3 days to move all drives from the Synology and Asustor to Terramaster. (not going to mention how to transfer all the files). Anyway, one traid volume 1 with F4-424 and another traid volume 2 with D4-320, they work fine. By the way F4-424 is a very good Plex server.
