This was a total shock, I guess it has been way to many years since I bought an external drive. I couldn't believe how small and compact it is (the size of a modern cell phone) and didn't require any extra power outside of the USB cable.

Great space And Great download speed.

The storage capacity for the price cannot be beat. I have had 2 of these drives running 24/7 for 3 years now with no problems at all. They're a great option for backing up important data. Also, goHardDrive's CS department is exceptional! You can trust this company with your data storage needs.

Easy set up, plug and play. Good price!

So far the product is working just fine but I have had a handful of these in the past and they only seem to last a year or so.

Delivery was must quicker than anticipated

I bought this 4TB drive to use with time matching on my Mac. So far it has performed flawlessly and at decent speed. Happy with purchase.

5tb Great for storing pictures We use on Mac no problems

Hard drive works as advertised. It is doing hard drive stuff. Happy customer! :)

Very snappy little drive It's not some weird color from the 1980's or 1970's Uses a USB type connector which is good for future proofing Has a Type C to Standard USB adapter for backwards compatibility

Well build, Solid

You can format it to NTFS and you should for fail-safe features like Journalling that are built into NTFS which would help you to recover lost files or fragments thereof. Unless you use Mac products, then don't, cuz Mac OS only reads NTFS but doesn't write to it. Here is an excerpt from superuserDOHcom/questions/257646/why-should-i-use-exfat-over-ntfs-on-removable-media/262304 The mistake in "DOH" is obvious. Basically, "NTFS has journaling which helps ensure the file system can recover from corruption, whereas exFAT does not. So if you use the drive only from Windows PCs and reliability and data integrity are important, such as for archival or backup purposes, NTFS should be used over exFAT."

Good file space good orange rubber protective layer Love the USB3 cord Love the cross platform use (mostly PC, some Mac)

First off; this a hard drive. Not a M.2, not a SSD. For a USB driven portable 4T hard drive this is an awesome product. I always wanted to have a portable copy of all my games for my laptop. While some load times may take some time compared to your NVMe laden desktop ( I was ok with it; after all it's an external HDD ), there was no impact while playing AAA games. No skipping, no stutter, nothing! Yes, it can be used as a backup drive, but it's functionality deserves to be more than that. During games copies I was getting up to 160 Mb/s. To me, that is extremely respectable ( I was ok with it; after all it's an external HDD ) . - Very decent read/write speed. ( I was ok with it; after all it's an external HDD ) . - Stays warm, not hot; no issues after continuous 6 hour writes. - Very portable; 2.5" drive. - Case looks great.

Robust metal design looks great Cool to touch USB C. USB-A compatible (with dongle, included) Up to 10 Gbps transfer speed WD Discovery software and apps Windows 10-ready Plug and Play 256 bit AES hardware encryption 3 year warranty

Works well, way quieter than a normal external drive Run pretty cool in temp too
