Great package. Every thing you need to place a 2.5 drive in a desktop tower.

These thermal pads are the same as you would get with any NVMe enclosure. They are thermally stackable. I had a gap issue with a NVMe enclosure that I had purchased a while ago. The pad that came with the enclosure wasn't thick enough. The NVMe SSD. would get so hot I needed to open the enclosure to cool it down to complete the transfer. I found these pads on Newegg and for the price I figured I'd give it a try. The gap was so wide I had to stack 2 on top of the existing pad to make contact with the enclosures heat sink. I tried a similar sized transfer. No more issues with the NVMe getting too hot and the transfer went strait through. I'm glad I took a chance. Now I don't need to replace the enclosure. If you do find that you need to stack 2 or more thermal pad, make sure there are no air bubbles trapped between them.

This unit is a great idea and works fine too. I wanted a way to take an internal 3TB hard disk drive that is used for backups offline and then bring it back online externally as needed. The front panel power switch allows just that. I power it on when I need to take backups and afterward switch it off. I believe this procedure allows some measure of protection from disk destroying malware wrt backup files. It allows other uses not anticipated now that I have it.

It works exactly as described. It lets you easily slide a bare 3.5" hard drive into your computer and access it. Unlike a USB dock, you have full speed, full feature SATA III access. Drives slide right in and make a good connection every time. The power button lets you wait until the drive is fully connected to turn it on. The power button is a physical toggle button, so you can set a drive to be on or off during startup. A great little feature if you want to bot from another hard drive. The power LED is nice and bright and the disk activity light works without any sort of motherboard connection. This is an invaluable tool for anyone who ever has to work with bare hard drives.

Inexpensive and does the job. Compatible with tool-less drive caddies like Dell's blue brackets.

Good quality. Good buy on sale.

With 2tb SSD prices dropping through the basement, and storage needs expanding just as quickly, this product is an absolute winner. I now have 16tb of space available for games, media, and 3d art assets. You will need a PCIe SATA card (6 or 8 ports) to use all 8 drives, but those are inexpensive and a number of good ones are sold here.

Solid works as expected Bought on sale for $40

using this for my laptop where the BD laser died so this is using a 2tb crucial instead it looks pretty cool but some of the pieces dont line up like a bd drive

It’s a fairly robust metal. The finish is nice and it stacks/clips to each other solidly.

Mount and screws. Nothing more needed.

Robust construction Fan included inside the HD cage Help expand normal pc/server tower number of HD ON/OFF fan switch

It works as advertised and does it well.

The included SATA connector for the 9.5mm ODD was great and also all the mounting screws. I used this bracket together with a ultra slim bluray burner (BU40N) and a 3.5" memory card reader (UGT-CR935) in a mini ITX 1U rack mount build. Very pleased!

These stand upright on 3 sides - the spine has a rib that prevents it, but this allows shelf-stacking vertically or horizontally. Internal padding is minimal but seems adequate until I'm drop-kicking these routinely. The unsnap-hinge is a wide, sturdy lift-up, not tiny fingernail-breaking bits. There is much to like about these, and we'll buy more.

High quality. Drives go in and come out smoothly. Nice design. While this does screw tightly into your case, the bay itself which houses the drives instead sits on these little black rubber discs, so any vibrations transfered to your case are reduced. If you look closely you can see them in the product photos. LED can simply not be plugged in, so it's never going to be annoying.

Works exactly as expected. Fits conveniently into a bay. Almost no setup.
