Honestly the nicest drive case I've had in my hands that wasn't metal.

This unit is a great idea and works fine too. I wanted a way to take an internal 3TB hard disk drive that is used for backups offline and then bring it back online externally as needed. The front panel power switch allows just that. I power it on when I need to take backups and afterward switch it off. I believe this procedure allows some measure of protection from disk destroying malware wrt backup files. It allows other uses not anticipated now that I have it.

We own 40 or so of these now, they're simple and very functional. I bought several different types of HDD protector cases before settling on these; they stack very nicely and securely, open easily and the hinge is robust. A couple of the others I tried had their hinges fail before very long. We don't open and close these a TON but I think they could handle it if you did. They claim to be anti-static and I have no reason not to believe that, but I do tend to put the drives in an anti-static bag inside the case too. Just for good measure! Anyway, they are great and we'll continue to use them.

This Icy Dock was a pleasant surprise. It was much simpler and faster to install than the previous 2.5-inch adapters that I have used and does the job at least as well. The design is clearly well thought out and the needs of the user were obviously considered when creating this product. One of the really aggravating issues of building a system for a customer occurs when you are trying to install a component and the detail involved increases the time required to complete the system. This product reduces the time in a system build and provides a safe, high-quality result. This increases customer satisfaction and keeps my costs down. Human factors: This adapter contains no sharp edges or other issues that make it unpleasant to work with.

I have installed about 12 of these, and I own 3 myself. They are very solidly constructed, and look nice in your 2 1/2" bay next to your card reader! These things are perfect for SSD drives and have nice ventilation. They are well worth the low price to protect and mount your solid state drive. I do a lot of system builds, and I buy these exclusively any time the build requires SSD!

fits the Fractal Design Core 1100 mATX case perfectly. looks like it was made for the Fractal. has the same "brushed aluminum" look. it supports two 2.5" HDDs or SSDs and a card reader ( in my case a floppy drive... yes I still have one) -- i have one SSD for the OS and an old HDD pullout from a laptop in the slots. right angle SATA cables fit nicely. well packaged. the screws are packed and labelled separately. some of the screws are black which is really cool in an all black case. instructions are clear.

I have an Enthoo Pro M Tempered Glass Case, and I front mounted a 280mm EVGA CLC. In order for the AIO to fit as it should you have to remove the standard HDD mounts in the basement. I was in desperate need of another mounting solution for my hdd. This was perfect! It is incredibly affordable, great quality, and does exactly what it’s intended to do. The Phanteks website is less than helpful when determining if this would fit the enthoo pro m, so for under $3 it was worth the chance. I’m sure glad I did!

I thought this is the only 12Gbps hot-swap hard drive module I could found. Built a file server and like to try SSD drives for maximizing data transfering speed. This module’s performance is pretty impressive for me! The 12Gbps mini-SAS HD is awesome!
