Protect the SSD connectors against damage, they are very fragile, the tension from the power supply cable can easily break them
These thermal pads are the same as you would get with any NVMe enclosure. They are thermally stackable. I had a gap issue with a NVMe enclosure that I had purchased a while ago. The pad that came with the enclosure wasn't thick enough. The NVMe SSD. would get so hot I needed to open the enclosure to cool it down to complete the transfer. I found these pads on Newegg and for the price I figured I'd give it a try. The gap was so wide I had to stack 2 on top of the existing pad to make contact with the enclosures heat sink. I tried a similar sized transfer. No more issues with the NVMe getting too hot and the transfer went strait through. I'm glad I took a chance. Now I don't need to replace the enclosure. If you do find that you need to stack 2 or more thermal pad, make sure there are no air bubbles trapped between them.
It works as advertised and does it well.
After reading the comments here about the bottom-mounting capability of this bracket, I decided to give it a try. It works perfectly with my Antec P160's removable drive trays. It even support 2 drives if I ever decide to get another SSD in the future.
Fits all of my old computers fine.
Nothing to it, just plug it in.
Great package. Every thing you need to place a 2.5 drive in a desktop tower.
Fits a 5.25 inch drive bay perfectly. Black finish to match interior of black pc cases. Came with a variety of screws for mounting different types of devices. Multiple mounting options. Absolutely no problem with 90 degree angled SATA cables.
Cheap - bought for $12, Hoverhound said highest price in past 2 months was $15. Power Switch - You don't see many other hot swap bays with power switches but it's important!! I don't care if other bays boast their smooth hard drive ejection; if my drive is NOT powered off, there is risk of jolting the drive and potential strain / damage since the disc is still spinning. This has power switch AND LED. Extra benefit of power switch: You don't have to buy an expensive controller to choose which hard drive to turn on or off. If you have multiple hard drives, this allows you to choose when to power on or off the hard drive in the bay. It's a HOT SWAP BAY. Easy, tool-less, front access! Everyone should be using this to minimize hard drive hassles. Someone said they had Molex power but mine was completely SATA. Takes up to 4TB drives - I cannot test that, but they say so. If you have the Chinese instant messenger QQ, you can contact support that way. I don't know how their other support options are, but the two people who helped me through instant messaging were friendly, helpful, and more than fully answered my questions - and didn't mind the awkward Chinese I wanted to practice. :)
- Cost effective - Functional - Quiet enough to not be a nuisance
Exactly what i needed.
-Great finish -comes with all hardware needed -the little rubber spacers are great to cushoin the SSD
It's a sturdy plastic, padded, anti-static case, and priced right in a 5-pack
Dropped a SSD into this so I could replace my HD on my aging desktop. Kit has everything you need and then some (even includes a small screwdriver). Lots of extra cables, etc. Perfect for what I needed
Release Date: 11/02/2025
The case holds the 3.5" HDD's nicely. I store the drives in ESD bags and the bags in the slots and it works well
cheap solution for new cases that don't have built in slots.
Easy install. Nice to have hot-swap SSD's on standard PC case.
Since this is just a drive cage, it's hard to say much, except it helped me do literally everything an EvolvX can do... which you probably shouldn't do. EvolvX does a LOT of things well, but it's really not meant to do them ALL simultaneously. When you do, it's packed and weighs like a small car... but hey, it's done.
