Looks nice, works well. It has a blue power LED and a red activity LED. It gets power from a regular Molex connector which is great for those older machines that don't have power supplies with the newer SATA power connectors.
-very good quality for the money. I was happy to find that the padding on the inside is very good. For the quality of the case and the inner lining, I think that this is the best value you can get for an inexpensive case. - The latch is very secure. - Case description says it's waterproof. I did not test this but the latch is very secure. I put a hard drive that no longer functions in one of them and dropped it from 5 feet onto carpet and 3 feet onto hardwood floors a couple of times and the case did not open or break. If I'm bored I might throw it in the dishwasher to see what happens. - Labels are large enough to actually write on. If I decide to change them, they are the same size as some of the Avery labels and I may end up just printing some of those and placing them over the label sticker to make them more professional looking.. - Happily surprised that the pattern that is designed into the plastic actually allows them to nest on each other which is great when you stack them up in your locked file cabinet and then close the drawer.
It is well-built and made for cases with a 5-1/4-inch drive bay opening; otherwise, you must purchase an adapter to mount a smaller SSD.
The rack itself is shorter, allowing me to leave the front panel cover for the 5.25 bay on. This was a much preferably alternative to 5.25 to 3.5 conversions that have their own front panel.
Excellent price Good cable length Adjustable to different M.2 SSD sizes
It allows me to pack SSD drives in a decent enough density where I don't need the associated noise from additional cooling fans.
Does exactly what I wanted it to do, I will buy another whenever my storage needs comes up again.
Really solid, all metal. Has a single power connector that services both drives conserving cable connectors. Really nice construction with fully enclosed case.
Very nice utilization of the 5 1/4" Optical Disk space in a Computer case to facilitate easy access of hot swapping either your Disk Drives or 2 1/2" SSDs. The Module feels well constructed and it is not flimsy. The trays have been updated to be able to use the 2 1/2" SSDs now, and the trays look to be a highly polished steel finish, almost looking like chrome. The power and disk activity lights work well on the front panel.
I've had this for a few days now and have used it in anger twice, maybe three times with customer drives. I'm using this to mount drives for backup and virus checking. It does exactly what it says on the tin. It was easy to install, seems well constructed of good materials and even has a drive light that I don't see advertised or in the manual (alas, my motherboard doesn't support the required connector.
solid metal construction. easy install.
Very easy to use. No extra mounting equipment needed for each drive -- they just slide right in. Mounted perfectly into a Chenbro RM42300 case.
Great product. Does what it was made to do--holds four 2" drives and has LEDs to indicate HDD activity. I also REALLY like the one (1) power receptacle for ALL drives. My, how that reduces cable clutter! Just ordered another for my wife's pc.
Color matches with anything black, not like an off black or a grayish.
