These thermal pads are the same as you would get with any NVMe enclosure. They are thermally stackable. I had a gap issue with a NVMe enclosure that I had purchased a while ago. The pad that came with the enclosure wasn't thick enough. The NVMe SSD. would get so hot I needed to open the enclosure to cool it down to complete the transfer. I found these pads on Newegg and for the price I figured I'd give it a try. The gap was so wide I had to stack 2 on top of the existing pad to make contact with the enclosures heat sink. I tried a similar sized transfer. No more issues with the NVMe getting too hot and the transfer went strait through. I'm glad I took a chance. Now I don't need to replace the enclosure. If you do find that you need to stack 2 or more thermal pad, make sure there are no air bubbles trapped between them.

Great package. Every thing you need to place a 2.5 drive in a desktop tower.

Fits what it says it fits.

I got one for my main computer which has Vista 64 on it. And had no O/S problems with it. I have bought at least eight of them to go in my windows Vista and windows XP 32.

-works like a charm -far faster than a usb external for large jobs

It's got a ton of holes that match the holes on a 3.5" drive so you can use the side screws or bottom screws At $ 6.19 the price can't be beat New Egg shipping was wicked fast. I ordered on Saturday and received it Tuesday

I have used these cases in the past and they are" - Easy to use and store - protect the hard drive well - solid feel and closure

Solid works as expected Bought on sale for $40

Got it half off for $40 on Black Friday 2018. No problems mounting my older SSD or my new Samsung 860 EVO in this. The outer shell is made out of pretty solid aluminum. The drive trays were easy to mount, yet lock securely into place. Each drive has its own individual power and data LED. Now I have slots for up to 6 more drives, giving my old case with too many 5.25" bays some new life :)

I ordered it for the 2.5" Solid State Drive I had purchased, but when my new computer case arrived, it came with its own SSD kit, so I'm holding it for my next build. It is nice and examining it, I know it will definitely do the job.

- Comes with plastic knockout to use as dust covers for either the Slim ODD slot or the 3.5" if/when not in use. - As expected, locking plastic tabs work nicely and are easy to work with. - Came with a large variety of screws to accommodate a large number of devices. Included screws: Slim ODD M2*4, 3.5" HDD #6-32*6, FDD/'3.5" device' M3*6 (narrow pitch), 'device' (bracket itself I think) M3*6 (wide pitch). - Came with a slimline SATA to standard SATA extension/adapter cable necessary for using a slim/ultra slim ODD with a standard power supply. - Has all the screw hole options for mounting different devices. I mounted a card reader and it's nice and snug.

Works great, accepted our Intel 510 SSDs with no problems. Works with our LSI 6285-8i. Well engineered, nothing felt flimsy or of poor quality.

It's a sturdy plastic, padded, anti-static case, and priced right in a 5-pack

I am making a media server / Game machine for the living room and needed plenty of HDD space for movies and games using Eclipse P500A DRGB with 8 4TB drives, 2 8TB Drives and 1NVMe for Boot. These Brackets fit well in the case and are easy to install and remove.

Very good construction. This item is made of steel and is heavy, not made of cheap plastic. The screw holes line up perfectly for the Samsung 850 Pro drives I have. Works in tower model (aluminum case) Mac Pros with 4 drive bays. Also works in HP z800 series workstations, at least my z800 (2010. 2011?). The drive plugs into the adapter built onto the unit which provides the interface that plugs into the computer. I did not use this in an application that uses cables: only in systems where you slide the adapter into a drive bay using a tray and lock it into place. Highly recommended for this type of application.

All metal dock that will handle thicker drives. The dock works great with SSD drives also. Easy to install.

solid hold

NICE ITEM WELL MADE . WORKS WELL MAKES CHANGING HARD DRIVES A LOT FASTER AND EASIER GREAT PRODUCT

Very easy to install.

- Like the title says, it's a bracket and it works... - The black textured plastic matches the plastic of other StarTech components, I for example, used a card reader in this space and it matched perfectly.
