I purchased two Seagate Backup Plus 4TB external desktop drives that failed within two years of usage. I extracted the drives and were able to re-use them using the Wavlink docking station. Since those two drives are backup drives, I re-copied my data to one and clone it onto the other one. It took me half a day to copy 3.4TB of data to one drive with USB 3.0 and roughly in half the time to clone it via the Wavlink docking station. Cloning on the docking station instead of making another copy on the computer saves me time and also enables me to use my computer without being slowed down by the copy process.

Good to update your sata hard disks, either setting up new drives, partitioning, copying files, imaging and things like that. just lift up the plastic cover which is hinged, slide the drive in and once it's set, you just close the cover and hit the on button.
