-Product arrived without damage, enclosed in an extra box (for customs/protection) of product. -Able to install five drives and fill all the bays with different size drives, all SATA drives with one as a SSD. -Later changed out one drive and had two SSD drives installed (for data transfer testing). -In Windows 10, all drives show up in file manager as separate drives, but the USB "sees" all the drives coming from one unit. -So to remove one drive, the whole unit has to shut down (so all drives are idle. None can be "active" at the time of shutdown). -Installed a new 1TB SSD in the unit and powered it up, and was able to format it using Windows. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Performed some data transfers between drives with different speed transfer rates: Data transfer between drives show a speed of 35.9mb/sec for peak, with 28.9mb/sec on avg. between two spinning drives. Data transfer between SSD and spinning drive of 54.4mb/sec for peak, with 40.3mb/sec on avg. transfer (spinning drive to SSD). Data transfer between SSD and SSD was 68.2mb/sec for peak, with 65.6mb/sec on avg. transfer rate. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The LED's in front of the case flash when data is being transferred from the drive. Thought the "Magnetic-type" cover might be an issue, but it works well and stays in place. Overall a clean looking box that allows easy drive access to upgrade or swap as needed. Would recommend this product!
