AMD is awesome

Fast, Cool, Cheap.

Only DDR memory support, and socket 939. But that is not *really* a bad thing.

Good for upgrading a computer made a few years ago that has some DDR ram in it. Pair this with a nForce 6100 or 6150 motherboard and you have a fairly fast computer for less than $xxx. Virtually any socket 939 heatsink / fan will keep this thing cool. I just upgraded my g/f from a Celeron D 2.8 w/Geforce 5200 to this CPU and a nForce 6150 motherboard, and its a world of difference. Might add a PCI-e video card, but for any game made before 2006 this will play at a reasonable frame rate.

Ok Chip

Part of a Combo Deal. So the price was right. Was for a PC for a family member.

THe only major con with this chip, which is a HUGE one is the 1600 mhz HT bus, instead of the 2000 MHZ HT bus that all other VENICE Cores have. The HT bus difference = roughly a 15-20% noticeable hit in FPS in most games.

Got the Chip as a combo deal, really wish I noticed the 1600 HT bus, or I would never have ordered this chip. Other AMD 64 models are cheaper, faster, and come with a FAn.
