Fast, Dual Core, Fan does it's job for my needs
None.
I put this in a $300 budget web surfing computer for my bro and I love the outcome. The stock fan and heatsink is fine for people who dont' overclock. I've got this in a cheapo Rosewill case with one 120mm fan and it is plenty cool in there. If your on a budget, how can you be wrong for $66? You can't, get it. If your interested, here are my $300 build specs: AMD X2 5000+ 2.6, MSI K9VGM-V, Mushkin 2gb DDR2800, Seagate 250GB SATA, Samsung 22X DVD/CD Burner, Rosewill 450watt PSU, Rosewill R220 Case. Running like a champ with Windows XP of Course!
Lower power, dual-core, in-expensive and easy installation.
Performance. This processor is hardly an upgrade from my previous setup.
I upgraded from an old Intel Core-duo processor 1.8Ghz ABIT setup to using the new Gigabyte mainboard and this AMD 5000+ processor. Coupled it with Muskins 1066 memory and a serial-ATA drive. My compiles and media creation are only a bit quicker. Not worth the total price of my upgrades. If you want noticeable performance increase from the last generation, older processors and keep your costs down go with Intel or AMD Quad configuration. Should have spent a little more and got a newer Intel setup.
Newegg rocks!, Shipping fast, great quality and service.
