AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+ - Athlon 64 X2 Windsor Dual-Core 3.2 GHz Socket AM2 125W Processor - ADX6400CZWOF

Pros: This thing is fast. I have this on an ASUS crosshair with an EVGA 8800 GTS and i ran bioshock and it was amazing. Very cool proc.

Cons: The only problem i had was when i bought this cpu i was building a fresh computer. so when i put it on my ASUS crosshair and added all the other gadgets to my case and turned on the power.... nothing came on the screen. I called ASUS and they said i needed to update my bios so it would work with that cpu!!! I was like what? how can i do that i cant turn it on! so ASUS is sending me a new upgraded BIOS. thats not AMD's fault for making a cpu so strong the mobo cant handle it lol. but might wanna watch out for that. anyone else have that problem?

Overall Review: its sweet!!! and newegg is the cheapest around!

Pros: fast out of the box, no need to overclock

Cons: runs hotter than any processor I've ever had, and I always overclock. AC64 freezer pro w/ AS 5, can feel the heat radiating from the heatsink. reseated the processor 3 times, no difference. Don't buy if you have SFF or HTPC or otherwise don't have good airflow.

Overall Review: Running in my HTPC. I swapped a 65 watt 4600+ overclocked to 2.7 for the 6400. What a mistake. The 125 watt 6400+ runs faster stock, but with more volts, therefore more heat. heats up the entire case. Am currently running a 65 watt 5000+ black edition overclocked to 3ghz cool as can be. Much better deal. The 2x1mb cache is way overated.
