Pros: Great processor way way better than Bulldozer 8 cores easily overclocks. Handles everything I've thrown at it and asks for more. These are highly binned processors that they have been able to throw high volts at to guarantee the speeds its rated for and then some. Don't cry about the price guys it beats an Intel CPU for bang for buck. A price premium should be expected for the binning process.

Cons: runs hot but its expected with a 220w TDP this should really not be a con as we should expect higher temps since its made this way. But wanted to put it here so others will see. You need a GOOD QUALITY Heat-sink with GOOD QUALITY fans or water cooling to tame this beast. Do not expect a 30$ cooler to handle it (in other words don't expect your CM 212+ EVO to keep it in check) it just isn't smart.

Overall Review: OK this should be known for those just foraging into high end computers. You will need a motherboard with solid VRM's good power phases and cooling on the NB and VRM area of the board, if you plan on overclocking (even if you don't good power and vrms are a must). If you plan on overclocking this beast you'll need active cooling on the vrm's as well as a GOOD motherboard (don't expect your 75$ board to handle the power requirements this bad boy needs. Get yourself a GOOD QUALITY board and enjoy it. I'm running mine in a Asus Crosshair V Formula-Z and its sweet. But even it needs active cooling for the vrm's I'll be adding the full cover water-block for the board in the very near future. ALL in ALL this beast is very good at what it was designed to be, One of the Fastest (GHz) processor on the market.

Overall Review: Note that not many motherboards support a 220W CPU!! Do your research on the motherboard manufacturer website and verify that this CPU is compatible!! I purchased a motherboard only to be met with "MB thermal does not support CPU over 200W. Shutting down to protect main board"
