Extends the life of socket 939

Replaced a 64X2 4400 and I can't believe the difference in speed. Overclocks easily and is very stable; with a Vcore of 1.40V went from 2.60 to 2.84 GHz with temps 36 - 44 deg C on stock cooling.

End of the line for socket 939!

Tried to use a Z***an CNPS7000B cooler but was very loose fitting. Went back to the stock cooler, which is actually quite robust. No problems. MB is Asus A8N32 SLI Deluxe

Got A Bad One

None

I received a bad one. It took out my M/B and I had to RMA it to ASUS and they sent a new one well least a different S/N. NewEgg tried to charge me a restocking fee of $35. Called them And got that took off thank goodness being I have never returned any thing sep this CPU.

That is the first bad AMD I have ever got in the years Iv been building. But all in all it cost me $20 bucks and two and a half weeks down time for nothing.
