Flies for basic Windows usage, simple multitasking, etc. Sips power at 45W TDP, and runs at 14-16C idle and doesn't crest 23C at full continuous load - a tad nicer than my Phenom 9850's 38C idle, 60C full load. Coolest running processor I've ever used, hands down. Even does fine for CS:S and the like.
I wouldn't try playing UT3 or Crysis on this thing. Only 256K of L2. Not my Phenom 9850 BE? If you're looking for serious cons for a chip this awesome at this price point, you're deluded.
Paired this with a PC Chips A15G for a customer to replace a Pentium 4 HT 2.8GHz and Intel 915GM mobo. Absolutely demolishes that old Netburst piece of junk, even in multitasking. Performs noticeably better than my old Athlon 64 3400+ rig, which is pretty impressive given the 300MHz clockspeed drop and having 1/4th the L2 cache.
Not Bad 45watt power consumption
