I was in dire need for a new laptop in general. I use my computer to do day-to-day things (browsing, YouTube, Word, bla bla bla), as well as play games (WoW, looking into a FPS). This animal can handle it all.
When it comes to WoW, this computer destroys Dalaran and 25 man raids on Max settings (shadows turned down). It can also handle FPS with ease.
Overall, very impressed, and very happy. I did extensive (read: weeks and weeks) of research before purchasing. Great deal, cannot be topped.
I have to honestly say this laptop has been amazing.. I have been able to run nearly every game I own on maxed out settings without a single flaw.
Crysis: High Settings ~ 30 FPS
Counter-Strike Source ~ 125+FPS
Mass Effect ~ 60 FPS (Ultra High texture)
Oblivion : High Settings + Large Draw Distance ~ 80 FPS
Also, the temperatures are really not as bad as many say, keeping some cooler will definitely help, but the temps are as expected: Max 88C on GPU and Max 68C on CPU. (Never sat at those temps but peaked then dropped once fans kicked in on high
My laptop was absolutely amazing for the first six days I had it. I mean I was enthralled at the performance and the overclockability with the CPU (reached 2.44Ghz without a change in temperature). Of course we have the stupid complaints about the bloat yadda yadda, that's fixable...
Well this morning my hard drive sounded noticeably louder than normal but I thought nothing of it because my house was quiet, well my laptop froze... and froze... and froze... randomly. It kept doing this at random times even after playing for a long period of time in Mass Effect.. anyways I ran MemTest86 and after three hours no errors, hard drive tests proved nothing. Haven't decided if I am going to RMA or reformat, most likely I will reformat before sending it back.
Only reason the score is low is because of my hardware issue. Honestly, BUY THIS LAPTOP. It came in a perfect condition and the only thing I had to do was repartition the hard drive because of their odd sizes. Other than that, this thing is a beast and can tear about anything you put in its path.
