ASUS M2N-E SLI AM2 NVIDIA nForce 500 SLI MCP ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: The board was super easy to install.
Has enough ports for everything i needed. Runs my amd 6000+ cpu no problems. this is a great board for the price

Cons: nforce 500.

Overall Review: solid all round board

Pros: Cheap, has SLI. Has two PATA channels and a parallel port.

Cons: Totally undependable. I made four systems for customers with these boards, and one for myself. My own system has failed FOUR TIMES. Each time Asus sends me another board which works initially but develops yet another different problem in several weeks to a month, or so. My customers have ALL had similar problems. ALL four have had to have new boards. One has replaced hers twice. THIS IS NOT AN ISOLATED PROBLEM. THIS BOARD IS A LIABILITY. DO NOT SELL IT TO CUSTOMERS OR USE IT FOR A CRITICAL APPLICATION, LIKE IN A COMPUTER. USE IT FOR A FRISBEE INSTEAD. This is the worst component I have EVER purchased.

Overall Review: If you want SLI, get a board with the nVidia nForce 590 SLI chipset. It runs both PCI-e X16 slots at 16X, not 8X, like this board. After my experience with Asus, I suggest another brand. Newegg, naturally, rocks, and is not the culpable party here. Sadly, the problems usually seem to take more than 30 days to surface, so you end up dealing with Asus, who takes its sweet time exchanging the board with another bogus one.
