Truely wonderful card, when I saw that this card had Dolby Live I thought it was just an extra feture and would make noise a little clearer and little more enjoyable, but when I recieved it from Ups and installed it, I found that I was totally wrong. Once you go Live you will never go back, the way Live makes music sound is truely amazing. When I turn on Cold Play I swear they are behind my Z-5500 speakers and are singing to me. I have never listened to music with such quality and I have a 6k home theatre system, and they can't even match the sounds of Dolby Live. (well they get close) The bottem line is if you are sick of seeing another Creative card, and want the most amazing sound you can pump out of your speakers, then get this board.
P.s- They also perform extremely well in games too. Call of Duty 2, Fear, and World of Warcraft sound absolutely incredible when paired with the Z-5500's.
Dolby Digital Live is awesome, sound quality is very high, music sounds great, EAX2 works well in games, overall great piece of sound hardware. Software GUI is nicely done a fully featured with lots of options yet quite lean and doesn't have that bloated feeling of Creative software.
Support. Drivers. As posted already the card is no longer supported by BlueGears. The original drivers sucked badly, then there was a period during which there was no support and now Auzentech released new drivers that are an improvement but still need work. The main problem is stability. I never had BSOD or sudden reboot until I installed this card. Windows spontaneously reboots several times a week and no game would run more than 30 mins or so without crashing. If I remove the card and uninstall drivers I can play games for hours, put the card back and they start crashing again.Bummer...
I feel I bought a lemon. I'm afraid I'll dump this card if there are no better drivers available within a month or so. Dissapointing, really. Great hardware overshadowed by horrible drivers. Games are perfectly stable with the on-board sound hardware. I may give Creative Audigy a shot to get EAX support.
