I'm not much of an overclocker, but this product has been great. Some details:
- Previous 9800 Pro score in 3DMark05 was 2795 (I only have a 2800+ Athlon 64)
- 6800 GS score on initial install was 4532
- After opening extra pipe & shader (no visible problems after a week!) score rose to 5185.
- After O/C to 400/1100 (haven't tried any higher), score rose to 5560.
- Also bought the Arctic Cooling NV5 R3. Biggest benefit is excellent very low (nonexistent) fan noise. Temp is normally at 50C, up to 64C under heavy load.
Only issue was the poor/misinformed instructions included with the Arctic Cooler, due to the same product being used for multiple Geforces. But figured it out after a short time and some other web sites. The Arctic Cooling web site was surprisely poor in this regard.
Apparantly I cannot submit a review unless there is something in this Cons section, so here it is.
Ordered on a Sunday, received on a Thursday. Nothing but praise for BFG and Newegg on this one.
Fast card, mid-range price
Doesn't work well in all systems. I have all the sys reqs but i get errors and artifacts in all dx based games with no oc'ing and good temps, power, and latest drivers for mobo and nvidia forceware.
Extremely rude customer support at bfg tech. They boast 24/7 support but expect to be put on hold for at least 2 hours and then be insulted by the uncooperative staff. I Returned this product after no help was given.
