WOW! - Impressive!

Good upgrade choice for AGP lackeys like me! Solid BFG construction. Simple install. Solid Nvidia drivers. Solid tech support.

Noisy fan (but well worth the performance boost)!

I figured my upgrade options were fairly limited for my AGP board. Proc, mobo, RAM, and HDD were all solid so I couldn't bear to reconfigure everything to get PCI-e graphics. I replaced a ATI Radeon 9200 with this Geforce 7800GS and I am ecstatic! I am an X3 Reunion addict and the game was nearly unplayable with my old card. FPS would drop to the 6-10 range (AA & AF off, 1024X768 res)during a space battle making the game VERY stuttering and hard to play. Popped this Geforce 7800 GS in and I am smokin! Now I play X3 at 1280X1024 with 4XAA and 2XAF with no stuttering and BEAUTIFUL graphics! "The Way It Was Meant To Be Played" about sums it up for me. I thank the computer Gods for remembering us AGP lackeys - I am EXTREMELY happy with this card!

TOP CRITICAL REVIEW
Looks great......but

Looks great well made.

Power requirements. The 20A is important, many people have ended up getting a new power supply.

I did too, but it still won't run, monitor goes into standby.

The decision to upgrade but not go to PCIe is a big one....but the moment you have to start upgrading more parts like your power supply, then the step approach is not working.
