- Design.
- PSU not over the CPU like a lot of m-ITX case.
- Space for a normal 5.25'' drive and two 3.5'' HDD.
- Well built no need to force things to have holes line up.
- Space for normal heatsink.
- Good ventilation path.
- Cable management isn't easy, but it would be with most other m-ITX case since they are freakishly small!
- The front door to the 5.25'' and USB doesn't open smoothly, but that's really not a big problem. You can open it easily without any force but it won't go down by it self after simply pushing the plate.
-CHOOSE NORMAL RAM without heatsink or the 5.25'' drive will not be able to fit since the RAM is under the end of the drive.
There are a couple little things that I like about the design.
1. When the cover comes off it frees the top and side of the chassis to make the board installation very easy. It's something you don't really think about when buying a case, but it's nice to have that extra work free at the side without standing directly over it.
2. Front panel wires are bundled together. Some cases just have free wires floating around and it makes wiring and matching the pins very annoying. This made it easy for me.
3. Price. I got this mainly as a cheap case for building Intel Atom based systems. This is not a bad deal for what you get if it satisfies your needs.
I realize this is a budget case, but here's what I would do different:
1. I admit this is my fault for not reading the actual product specs first, but I was under the false impression that it supports 2.5" laptop drives as well as 3.5" standard hard drives. You would think for a Mini-ITX case this would be a standard but apparently not. I ended up having to purchase adapter mounts separately, so if you're thinking of using these cases with 2.5" drives in mind out of the box, then you might want to know this first. I don't think it's unreasonable to include this as an option on any mini case like this even at a low cost.
2. I'm not a big fan of the locking cover over the DVD drive area. Maybe it looks nicer when closed, but I'd rather leave this open entirely or have a loose free hinge where it accidentally doesn't smack when it's closed.
3. Cables from the power supply are placed a bit too close to the power supply fan. Make sure you tie them off as far as you possibly
It's good, but not perfect. It's not bad enough to return them, but not exactly what I expected either. My rating here reflects my specific use for this product. Yours may be different.
