The quality is generally almost as good as Lian-Li's other full aluminum cases. The fans are also very quiet. Most of all, the design of the case enables me to hide all cables on the back of the MB try! I really like this design, and it makes the parts look much cleaner and cooler! The side panels are also compatible with other Lian-Li cases, and I bought another transparent Lian-Li side panel for this case! It's so cool!
Two MB tray screw holes are not well machined, but with this price, I can't complain. This case is also noticeably heavier than other real full aluminum cases from Lian-Li. But the same, I can't complain with this price.
I really like the design, and I'd spend $50 more if there is the same model with full aluminum construction like other Lian-Li cases. Personally, I have been building PCs for myself and friends using more than 10 Lian-Li cases, and I think Lancool is a good alternative to Lian-Li if you want near Lian-Li quality and want to spend a little less. By the way, my MSI GeForce GTX 280 OC video card fits this case perfectly! Especially, all the power cords are passed through the MB tray from the back, and that makes cable management much cleaner!
Well designed case, removable motherboard tray, comes with 3 good quiet fans, room for 5HDDs, 3.5" external, and 3 5.25" externals. For me this means an optical, 7 3.5"HDDs, and a USB3 panel/SSD crammed together.
Looks understated and about as classy as PC cases get.
Aluminum panels are pretty thin, but also the rest of the steel chassis is relatively wimpy. My $45 cooler master is more stout. The panels don't align perfectly either, though they do close easily.
The HDD mounting system (special screws and little rubber grommets) does indeed help vibration, but still requires a regular screw or two and removing both sides of the case.
An extension or two for the case fans would have been nice.
I've been extremely spoiled by mac pros, which are simply in a class above any other case ever created, but nonetheless I was expecting better build quality. Everything fit well, including my Gigabyte 6870OC card, but if I had to do it over again I'd just pay another $75 and get a higher end lian li or save a bit and get a cooler master centurion. I've always had my mac pros on my desk, but despite the attempt at black genericness, this hackintosh build has been banished to the floor for its ugliness.
