Cooler Master Dual Ball Bearing 80mm Cooling Fan for Computer Cases and CPU Coolers

Pros: I was very surprised how much air these move for their size. They run nice and quiet and keep things nice and cool. Great price for what you're getting.

Cons: Absolutely none.

Overall Review: They are NOT loud.

Pros: This fan moves a lot of air, in comparison to the fans that came with my Silverstone HTPC case. Installing 2 of these dropped system temps 10C. When RPMs are controlled by the motherboard and speedfan (approximately 40% at idle), they are very quiet - I have them set to speed up based on CPU or GPU temps, and you can hear them when gaming or rendering, but they aren't any louder than my Geminii S524 & dual 6870s when everything is really going.

Cons: I purchased 2 at the same time - 1 is perfect, the other made a noise like a cricket (a very faint, distant cricket, except the volume increased as the fan speed increased). I exchanged that fan for another, and the new one makes a faint grinding sound that gets louder as the fan speed increases - it's distracting if there are no other sounds, but does fade away if you are gaming or playing music. However, something is obviously wrong with this fan so it's going back as well.

Overall Review: 1 for 3? Not a good track record for a company like Cooler Master. Maybe I just got into a bad batch, but maybe quality control is an issue here. The fan feels nice and solid, and looks clean too, but to have 2/3 fans purchased within 24 hours of each other be bad? My advice is to go ahead and purchase these fans, but buy them locally so they are easier to return when they starting chirping like distant crickets.
