Put these into a Lenovo Y410P to replace the 8 gig single stick of memory so I can have dual channel. No problems at all. Memory works fine.

Price was right. Unfortunately I'm not really seeing any difference between single channel and dual channel operation. Probably, knowing what I know now, I would have left the 8 gig single stick in place.
Newegg promptly issued an RMA. Replacement memory kit took a while to get here, but they e-mailed an update for each step of the return / verify / authorise / ship / delivery process.
One of the two modules was dead on arrival. Tried them in a Lenovo laptop and also in an ITX-size (mini) motherboard PC. In each case one module was dead no matter which slot we used.
Why do we buy Crucial memory? Because they are famous for reliability. Sadly, the very first Crucial laptop memory kit we order is defective. Are we disappointed? Yes.
The replacement modules seem to work OK for several days now so, fingers crossed, they will continue operate normally.
