Considering SSD, and this drive is an excellent value for your dollar, while keeping speed with high marks.
Worked perfectly on install using SATA3. Was able to install Windows 7 off USB drive in under 10 minutes to this. Moving from 7200RPM SATA2 drives to this feels worlds apart.
None, it's been flawless.
It doesn't come with a 2.5" to 3.5" mounting kit. The Rosewill I purchased worked just fine with this drive for me though. It doesn't claim to have a kit, but just be aware you'd possibly need one.
I run Intel Core i5-3570K, with GIGABYTE GA-H77M-D3H Board, with 8GB RAM. That configuration with this drive gave me times of 4 minutes to install Office 2010 (from iso), Under 5 for Photoshop CS5. Windows 7 boots in 8-10 seconds.
You won't be let down with the speed, that's for sure.
Very fast when working properly. Buggy firmware
Worked great until 5000+ hours runtime. Drive came with firmware 0009. Systems started freezing up consistently and drive would disappear from BIOS until a power down and reboot. Flashed with 010G firmware and restored image to drive.
Not real happy about this. I just kicked a bunch of Vertex 3's to the curb and now this. Does anyone make a decent SSD?
