About 25-30% faster than the GTX580, according to a few benchmarks (Unigine Tropics/Heaven & 3DMark11(P)). Windows Experience Index gave the card a 7.9. Max Payne 3 can finally be maxed out which requires just slightly over 2GB VRAM. And it plays smoothly maxed out.
The size. 10.5" is more like 10.75" because of the card cover design. I had to get a new mid-size case (an Apevia X-Dreamer3), which fits at least an 12"x11" motherboard. My last case had an exact 10.5 clearance from the back to the drive bays. The steep price may not justify the performance improvement for most users and gamers.
Newer drivers may improve performance even more, as well as the use of PCIe3.0 (assuming something practical would use that kind of bandwidth). Current system: Ci7-3770K, Intel DZ77BH, 8GB DDR3, GTX680 FTW+, Win 7 64bit Ult, 1920x1080.
Great packaging, much better than what the EVGA 680 GTX 2GB is packaged in
Replaced a EVGA 680 GTX 2GB w/ this for more VRAM.
Running OC scanner w/ Precision X stock clocks, you could see the GPU clock jump up and down and see the TDP spike over 200%. Reinstalled drivers, checked connectiors, finally posted in EVGA forums and found other users w/ this issue that all had to RMA.
Odd thing was that this card would stabilize after awhile, but after a reboot the throttling would be back bringing along w/ it performance issues
Pretty sure I got a lemon but card is out of stock after I purchased, I may just skip the Keplar bandwagon and wait for the 700 series.
FYI, also read on EVGA forums that these cards have been discontinued
