First thing's first:
• DUAL RANK RAM (2x DR sticks on a Daisy-chain motherboard is ideal for Ryzen 5000 CPUs)
• SAMSUNG B DIE (Essentially the best memory vendor/die you can get)
Okay, now that that's done with,
• XMP Profile 1 on my X570 Tomahawk worked perfectly with my 5900x despite not being on the QVL.
• Fits under the Noctua NH-D15 (Chromax.Black) in a Corsair 4000D Airflow on the motherboard mentioned above.
• Has no RGB
• Doesn't tuck me in at night
No really, there's not many negatives to this kit, I guess the price? But like, nobody is forcing you to buy this.
I wanted to min-max my build with a cl14-3800 or 4000MHz kit but all the sets were ugly. This one is not ugly, and works perfectly.
Works great on the new Zen3 CPUs.
None with this set of ram.
2 eggs for the ram at least running at a speed.
Doesn't run anywhere near rated speeds.
I bought this set to upgrade from G.Skill Ripjaws 3200 cl16 32gb.
My PC blue screened on initial startup, I cleared cmos and tried enabling D.O.C.P the PC refused to post and I had to again reset cmos. I then manually input all the correct settings with voltage set to 1.45 still no post. I lowered the speed to 3400Mhz, 3200, 3000.. I then loosened the timings to 16-18-18-38 1.35v which is the speed my old ram ran out, and still no post. Tried at 3200Mhz all settings set to auto and still refused to post. I finally was able to get my PC to post at 2666Mhz 16-18-18-38 1.35v.
I tried a set of ram from another PC and had it running at 3600Mhz cl14-14-14-34 1.45v with no issues.
I've always had good experience with G.Skill memory kits, so I feel bad leaving a negative review. I've owned many many sets of G.Skill in the past and never had any issues, so I was a bit surprised this set was having issues.
